I’m having a lot of trouble getting the filter cap off. I’m at the point where I’m ready to either weld a nut on or replace the valve block. Anyone had issues with welding a nut on? Or any other tips to remove please. I’ve tried heat, vice grips, monkey wrench. Next is hammer in a torx bit and pneumatic gun. Cheers

Safest option is to leave it alone rather than getting aggressive with the valve block.
Ive never removed mine in 320,000 km. All I do is about ever 2 years change the ACE fluid by emptying the reservoir refilling, going for a drive and repeat 3 or so times.
The old fluid is clean but darkened a little.
Cheers

Try Loctite Freeze and Release- spray can- about $22 from Repco or such.
Have used it on a tight TD5 sump plug with a tap from a cold chisel and hammer.
