I was looking through the brochures etc for the (on paper) weight of my SDV6, and found it to be 2115kg, with GCM 6500 and I saw on the rego paper that the Tare weight is 2052kg, but no GCM or GVM on the rego paper. So I thought I would take a look at the compliance plate, but I cannot seem to locate it..... anyone else found the location of their compliance plate?

Here is the inside of the door pillar. I see a 'sticker' that could be a compliance plate of sorts. Is that it these days? I was expecting to see something metal with rivets.... maybe times have changed.

Plastic, the revolutionary multipurpose material that can be use (and abused) in all sorts of manner[emoji12]
You would be correct there Gregz, no more stamped aluminium plates drilled and riveted on, tamper proof stickers nowadays[emoji1531][emoji1531]

Spec sheet says 2440 kgs . I assume this is empty , so fuel add 100kg and then wheels if change , mine I reckon an extra 40 k , so 2600 . Will be interesting to get the weight sorted before I hook the van up.

Don’t trust the spec sheet, options change everything.
Weight usually includes WET, fuel and 75kg driver for LR.

so, between what you expected and what you got there's about 200kg worth of marketing spin. heavy stuff, if only it could be removed.

It can be… don’t option it!
Copper is heavy, options are heavy.
Keep throwing ticks in the options boxes and up goes the mass.
And it’s states quite clearly that depending on options weights may vary.

I was thinking to save weight the following:
Remove both rear mufflers, replace with straight through pipe.
Replace both Lead Acid Batteries with LIPO4
I estimate 100 kgs , could also move spare to back of caravan when towing.

Rear mufflers are resonators. They only weigh about 5kg

You might as well eat nothing but salad and travel alone.
