Hi All,
I have a 2008 RR Vogue 3.6 TDI, that has oil in the cooling system, bought it this way, dismantled by a shrek.
I was told the cause was the oil cooler.
I have no reason to believe or not believe this diagnosis. I have attached a photo of the oil cooler mounting face which shows some pitting on the mounting face which may be the cause or is it possible that there has been a internal failure of the oil cooler.
My Questions are,

1. Where do i source a rave manual and is that the recommended Manual ?.
2. Can you buy the rubber gaskets that mount the cooler to the base plate or can you only buy the complete unit Base plate with mounted oil cooler, approx $ AUS1,500 plus freight from England.
3. Has anyone had a failure with 3.6 tdi oil cooler causing oil within the cooling system.

Any advice that could help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in175439175440 Advance.
Brett

Hi Brett. I can help with #1 as you can purchase a RAVE manual from the 'SHOP' button on top of this page (link below). Can't help with #2 or #3 though, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help with those.

Hi Brett

Don Radkey in Toowoomba owns a L322 3.6 so knows his way around these motors, and has 1 or 2 at his workshop for spares. He might be able to help. Phone no below.

He just replaced all my coolant hoses and thermostat housing.
