Hi Folks,

My two yellow lights concerning the brake fluid/low level came on. The front disc pads still had around 20% remaining and the sensor wire had not chafed thru due to worn pads. However I replaced front pads and topped up the fluid reservoir but I can't get the yellow triangle and the yellow brake warning light off. Also, the message that my brake pads are worn still appears, but I can press "ok" and it goes.

I didn't refit the brake sensor wire 'cos it was brittle and it broke and I didn't have a spare, so I taped it out of the way. I wouldn't think that is my problem as it is not "live" until earthed out due to wear by the brake disc pad. (Am I correct??).

No fault codes showing.
Have checked the reservoir float and seems ok.

Is there a special way of re-setting the system so the yellow lights disappear?

Nope. You have it the wrong way around. It's a normally closed circuit to earth which is opened by wear. You need to complete the circuit.

Purchase and fit a new brake pad wear indicator and your light will go out.

As above.

There is no fault codes or reset.
