Are Oils Oils?

CASTROL EDGE PROFESSIONAL C1 5W-30
so if I am in Upperkumbuctawest and the thing is at the low mark,,,

is there a common alternative?
I will, at the next service, ensure I buy a couple of litres to put aside..

but thats not for another 6-7 thousand kays..
(I plan on doing 12K changes,, IF it will do that, its two marks down after 5K
I dont mind the usage, it works pretty hard for its keep..)

If it’s chewing oil - that’s not acceptable.
It doesn’t work any harder than thousand of those that aren’t burning oil.

Did you follow the guidelines for bedding in the vehicle? No towing before a certain number of kilometres etc?

As a top up - any C1 oil, then change asap.

And get it checked - burning oil shouldn’t be happening.
