Are D1 & D2 roof lines the same?

Hi guys.

Can anyone on here confirm that the roof line and gutters are the same dimensions between a d1 and a d2?

D2 has a slightly longer roof but the width between the gutters is the same - had an ARB half rack on the D1 which transferred directly to the D2. The front roof mounted rails have a differences, profiles I believe, could be wrong on that

Yep, the D2 should be about 150mm longer in the rear section.

Funnily enough, my rack is actually a Defender roof rack on Discovery legs.

That looks like a Baja Rack.
I was sales manager for a while until the importer then went belly up.
Be aware that there is no adjustment on the legs , but Discos are all different so you must ensure that the legs are shimmed so that there is equal pressure on all legs. or the rack will break.
BTW a D1 rack will fit a D2 but not Vice Versa

Actually, I've seen a couple of D1's here in the States that had D2 racks on them. The D2 rack is longer, so it sticks out off the end and looks goofy, but it does fit, sort of...
