hi,
i'm planning on relocating the lpg filler on my 110 from its current underneath the rear cross member position to recessed in the rear corner panel about 8" below the petrol filler.
my question is, is this a suitable position for it and does the panel have enough strength to support the weight of the lpg nozzle when re-fuelling?
many thanks.

My county gas filler is in the fuel housing below the filler neck. Works fine!

On the SIII I fitted the recessed panel that goes on the body curve and mounts the fuel filler, then made a blanking plate out of some chequer plate alum. cut a holesaw hole in it and mounted the LPG filler. The whole set up was painted to match the body color and not only did it look good, but it meant I could refill without having to stoop down - very ergonomic.
Maybe not for the 110 where you already have a recessed rear filler, but might be good for the 100".
PM me if you want me to email a pic.

I did the same with my rangie, removed the stock filler and rivetted a piece of steel sheet with the filler mounted in it.

My D100 uses a a D110 2 door hardtop rear body - so have the same issue as the D110 :(
