Good day all
Came back from the snowies on the weekend and now we have a new noise, listen to attached Ipone audio file.

I'm also getting the follwoing error codes, cleared them and they were back an hours drive later
tachometer drive open load
gearbox / abs drive open load
mil lamp drive open load
glowplug lamp drive open load
To be honest I've not hit google yet...

Neither my phone nor laptop can play the Apple MPEG4 file... however the following might be relevant from Dr Google [wink11]
check out What is the open-load detection function available with low-voltage IPDs? | Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation | Asia-English (https://toshiba.semicon-storage.com/ap-en/semiconductor/knowledge/faq/linear_low-voltage-ipds/low-voltage07.html)
" The purpose of open-load detection is to detect a bad contact of a connector or a broken wire in a wire harness connected to an electronic control unit (ECU).
There are two major types of open-load detection:
The output terminal voltage is monitored while the output transistor is off. An open load is signaled when the output voltage exceeds the programmed value.
The current flowing through the output transistor is monitored while it is on. An open load is signaled when the output current falls below the programmed value.
Most of Toshiba’s IPDs for high-side applications use the above type 1 to detect an open load by monitoring the output terminal voltage while the output transistor is off."
All of which might point to a loose multiplug....

Looks like its either the throwout bearing or input shaft on the gearbox :-( according to the mechanic in wilton (great bloke).
Time for a gearbox overhaul
Should I park the car and not drive it at all?

Any recommendations on who can do a gearbox overhaul, preferably towards picton just in case, my mechanic is normally booked out well in advance.
