Gday All
I seem to remember seeing a post by someone making wiring looms on here?
They were probably for Series Landrovers but thought it worth asking?
After turning my Defender into a submarine, I need to replace all looms and I have a lot of aftermarket electrical gear in it, some of which has been ad hoc.
Alternatively, anyone wrecking a td5 that I can pull all the wiring from? I’m on the NSW Central Coast.
Just trying to make a plan at this stage

You decided to rebuild it then? Have you bought it back? If so would be interested in how that went.

Gday Pod
Happy new year and all
Been away camping with v poor mobile reception; it was great!
I can buy my 110 back and she’s not a stat write off, no notification to RMS necessary
I’m still agonising over a decision though [emoji21]
My wife’s not keen and I’m thinking the best idea may be to buy another defender and swap front and rear bars, sliders, roof rack and ladder, water tank, possibly gull wings, rear cabinets, console and tunnel cover, intercooler and rad, possibly suspension, caster corrected arms, and probably other stuff I’ve forgotten.
At least there are some reasonable defenders for sale at reasonable prices (amongst plenty of very overpriced ones!)
I’m considering going back to a 130,
I think radius arms and front prop shaft are same for 110’s and 130’s (?) and most other gear is interchangeable.
It’s still killing me…….

You've probably already investigated this but here's a couple of UK companies that do this.

FWIW my 130 (puma) was drowned in fresh water in 2012 up to the door sill / glass level. I bought it as a repaired/registered write off in 2013 and as of 2024 no adverse symptoms of the flooding from an electrical point of view. other issues but no electrical gremlins that could be explained by the flooding.

Really?!
Was she parked up when flooded or driven in?
Did your ecu look like mine, corrosion around all the + outlets/connections and cooked batteries? (My 6 month old yellow top started boiling [emoji51] 20 mins after recovery)
Did you have water in the engine?
Mine shows about 4x full level on dipstick…
What did you do to get her running again mate?

Thanks Pod, I’ve looked at autosparks looms; they’re not cheap by the time you get all the looms and add ons you need.
I must have over 30 rocker switches and almost as many toggles and am guessing they’ll all need to be replaced too?
