Hey all,
Recently picked up a td5 130 and it’s leaking a fair amount around the lower windscreen seal.
Someone has had a go at siliconing it up.
Just wondering if it’s better to try and clean it out and replace the seal. Or just go round 2 with silicon?

yeh that’s the seal that’s kaput,
was curious on what others have done. Replace or just use other sealing methods.

It’s not too bad to replace if you can undo the front headliner easy enough. Then for me it was a &b pillar bolts and the windscreen hinges. I used a seal that came in a blue bag and it was fine/still are after 3ish years

A blue bag sounds like a BritPart item.

I covered the seal with white Sikaflex. You’d have to get rid of every skerrick of silicone if you wanted to do the same.
