My D1 has the wobbles at 95 km/h. It has new bushes and tierods, so time to check wheel bearings and swivel preload.

I've lost my Rave, but the internet says 12-14 lbs preload. Does this sound correct? Add in a little extra for seals.

As far as adjusting preload, I'm assuming it's just a matter of removing shims to increase the preload?

Don't forget steering damper, and it's bushes, and also panhard rod bushes.

In my case it was steering damper and bushes(stoopid vacuum pump leak destroyed bushes, and they felt like marshmellows).
I just got a std (Armstrong) damper, being cheap .. and not being sure this would be the issue.

I've also fund that steering wobbles can be caused by worn shock bushes, but the effect is almost always limited to wobbles on medium to large bumps/potholes.

According to RAVE, with track rod, drag link disconnected and ball seal removed .. force needed to swivel the swivels is between 1.16 - 1.46 kgs

Thanks. That's the value I got off fb as well. I'll have to see what mine is currently at.
