Hi
noise inside cabin sounds like gumtree quartet-or 3 blowflies in a bottle - or a huge mozzie by your ear middle of night.
kicks in about 50 plus kph, increases in volume with speed but not exactly , varies with bumps, comes and goes eg there one drive not the next, and can be so loud turning up music does not give relief. Have tried aircon on off, fan up down on off, new pollen filter, cleaning out scuttle between windscreen and bonnet as best I can, all to no avail,
Have had indie lr guy check it and no relief

did have some gum leaves in scuttle and have removed etc

any suggestions greatly appreciated

about to drive Vic to NSW
noise cancelling headphones have some appeal
cheers
Dale😊

My thought was something that is peeling/lifting off. Does the sound seem to come from one area (e.g. front or rear or middle of vehicle)? A plastic cover or trim? The grille? I know noises can be a pain but yours obviously goes ballistic at times. [bigsad]

Try dropping the tyre pressures to 35/38 psi.

If you can get it on a hoist, have a very careful look underneath for anything loose/able to vibrate. A heat shield maybe?

Check body trim panels to see if one is loose and able to vibrate.

These thing do your head in. I get an occasional, high pitched but soft wind noise/whine from near the drivers mirror. Does my head in and it is extremely mild compared to your problem. I drive Melbourne/Sydney/Melbourne regularly over two days and the concrete highway in NSW drives me nuts...

Good luck!
