HI guys
NOT a defender owner but have a D2 that I am fitting a 8HP to the TD5, it would appear that I have to move the LT230 back (unsure how much yet) but thought it would great to know the alternative length tail shafts that could be potentially used if necessary.
Does anyone have a list of such?
Regards
Arty

I usually get them shortened, just picked one up today, 18mm shorter to suit a TD5 Disco with ZF 24 box and thicker rotoflex, my local engineers do a good job.
Is that not an option?

Balancing joint in Preston on Chiefly Drive, on the corner of Fink St.

I had the front prop in my RRC straightened and balanced by this mob. Did a good job.
Was, like, a gazillion years ago tho.

Sure is an option, what sort of pricing and turnaround for this???
Have to make some custom pipes up for the cooler so it wont be a single day changeover but this of course means that if it is a quick turnaound of around a day. Can of course drive it as a front wheel drive for day or so...

Was $160 / 2 days turnaround, but that depends on how busy they were.
You could also get one from a wrecker (late D1 will work as well) or use the other disco in your sig if they would take a while.
