Is it possible to negate having to engage the ‘A’ button every time I start up, on a 2023 Evoque ?

Could there be a setting in the CCF to toggle it off? Do current models have a CCF?

I have not tried this on a Land Rover, but on a number of other makes, if you disconnect the sensor on the negative ( - ) terminal on the cranking battery, it will permanently disengage the STOP/START function and will also stop the alternator from dropping to low voltages.
By the alternator running at a higher voltage, your cranking battery will be better charged at all times and should last longer.
NOTE, on some makes, disconnecting this sensor can cause error messages. If this occurs, you will need to reconnect the sensor.

Thank you’drivesafe’
How do I identify the Stop/Start cable at the - battery terminal?

Hi again Simon, there is NO STOP/START specific cabling at the cranking battery, you are simply disconnecting the sensor.
There will be a two wire plug and socket near the sensor, just unplug it and see how you go.

If there is a start-stop capacitor like in the later L405s then disconnecting the sense wire from it should do the trick. A setting in the CCF of MY17+ L405s can be changed to default to off using an IIDtool so possibly also in the Evoque.
