View Full Version : What setting for Koni 90 Raids have people settled on?

G'day All
I've just bought a set of Koni Raids for my 2007 110, but would like to know what adjustment setting people have found works the best for them, before I install them?
I normally run at about 2.7 Tonne, and don't tow anything, but looking to improve the ride over corrugations mainly. I have King Standard Springs on the rear (with PolyAir bags), and Land Rover 130 springs on the front.
I currently have Konis on the front, which have done about 470,000kms, and they still seem fine under normal driving conditions.
On the rear I have Bilsteins, which seemed to be a bit harsher than the Konis, that I replace after one leaked.
I recall a fair bit of mucking around loosening off the panel in front of the radiator to get enough clearance to remove the front shock towers (I think from memory). What advice can anyone provide about this please?
Thanks in advance.

I have Koni raids on the rear of my 110, set them to the lowest adjustment when I fitted them 2 years ago thinking I'd adjust if necessary or maybe to experiment. I have never bothered the ride has been fantastic whether loaded or not so I haven't changed them.

You sound like you run a bit heavier than I do but I would try them low and adjust up if needed, although front is more difficult to remove and adjust.

Thanks Discofender. I got some advice off Defender2 forum, and have kept the fronts at lowest setting, and the rears at + 1/4 turn. Seems fine at the moment, but haven't done much driving in it yet.
