Hi all
I have a set of rear drawers that go in and out of the car as needed for camping. On bigger trips the rear seats will come out too.

For shorter weekenders, I’d prefer to leave them in (less hassle) but face the problem of access to the spare tyre winder.

The drawers (Drifta) have a hole to access, however is there some trick I’m missing to get the extension rod to pass between the seats? Feels like there is nowhere near enough space?

It is certainly tight. I get around it by having a "permanent" socket and shaft in situ. Still might not work for you if the shaft wobbles around and misses the bottom hole in the drawers?

The plastic trim on the seat hinge can also be removed to make more space for the extension bar…

A 3/8" extension fits between my D3 seats. I have it in there when using my home made floor board on longer trips which covers the seats.
