Hi Team
Anyone found a local source of good oil filter adapters?
I did see this one online
Spin On Oil Filter Adapter For Land Rover Series Vehicles (https://www.roverparts.com/filters/oil-filters/ABP1168K/)
Not sure if anyone has used this one ?
Thanks in advance

The one you've listed seems to mount the filter horizontally so you still get oil everywhere when you remove the filter. You also can't fill the filter with fresh oil when re-fitting a new one.
There are some that mount the filter vertically or adapt to the original housing but they are more expensive.
Lots of threads on here about spin-on conversions. Use "search AULRO.com ONLY !" at the bottom of the page.

Hi Shane
20+ years ago I fitted a Rocky Mountain adaptor that looks identical to Atlantic British one. I used my existing oil pressure gauge sensor (my 2A is ex-Army).
I find that by loosening the filter & letting it drain into a drain pan, I avoid the 'oil running down the arm' experience. The filter will still have some oil in it, but that can be managed.
On refilling, I disconnect the feed to the coil and turn the engine on the starter until the pressure picks up.
Cheers
Jason
