Old Charlie Cutler went to the back bench for good the other day, he was a bit of a legend in his time.


Back in the late '80s, a bloke i worked with ran a newsletter (The Organ) with his uni mates - they ran about 2,000 copies 4 times a year...

One of the 'interesting' columns was a type of form guide, they'd take bets on who was going to depart this earth, in a given year. The pope was always even money...what ever happened to black humour?

The subscribers could make suggestions, too...

Problem is if the odds are too good, people take matters inot their own hands... big divvy for a few minutes work with a claw hammer: priceless !

Excellent, Vlad, I don't think they ever thought of that.

I seem to recall (it was nearly 20 years ago) the lists included Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, the pope, phil the greek and many others of 'celebrity' status. But smart (arrssseee) as it was, I don't recall them ever pinging a winner...
