Hi All,

I am a new member to this site. I own a 2000 model Td5 Discovery.

My disco has a ARB non winch bar fitted, I am looking for someone that has used an engineering shop on the Coast that could modify my bar so that a winch could be fitted. I have seen pics of this done in other states, the identical ARB bar that is fitted to my vehicle was used for the mod. Basically they turned the ARB Non winch bar into an ARB winch bar. The mod cost as little as $80.00

Any help as to where I could get this mod done would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Glenn

Get in touch with Dranged as he should either be able to help or perhaps knows someone who can............Dranged can also fit winches for you as well if you need.

Good luck.

There is no way I could modify a bar for $80. They must have got a winch cradle section for free from someone and then fitted it.

Yeah, that does sound very cheap. Let us know how you go arowanaman.

The mounting plate is supplied with the winch, so it is just having someone with the equipment that can cut the arb bar and secure the mounting plate, not sure if the mountinmg plate/winch cradle is then bolted or welded in place.

The fairleads supplied are the same as the warn. Any ideas on what this would cost if all the hardware is supplied.

Cheers

$45 an hour to do your mods if you are a GCLRO member $55 if not. I would imagine at least 3-4 hrs work, could be less could be more:D

Do you also fit and wire up winches, would be great to get it all done in one go. I would be looking to get it done in the new year. How do I get in contact with you.
