DRanged

If you are one of the unlucky ones that has a rear transfer case seal that always likes to leak no matter what you do, ( Classic rangie through D1 to D2 ) hear are a couple of pics of a remedy to keep the oil off your brake shoes and drumhttps://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2006/12/10.jpg
This photo shows a small piece of felt siliconed into the drain slot, and then it goes through the casing drain slot and outside the casing. This acts like a reversed candle wick and tracks the oil away from the shoes and drum.https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2006/12/11.jpg
Another tip is to use an industrial hand cleaner and a scourer to clean the shoes and drum. Works like a treat.
