Am I a Gumby

Am trying to remove the CD Strombergs from my 81 RR. The manual makes it sound quite simple but to remove the lower nuts from the drivers side carby the only way I can see to get a spanner on is to remove the rocker cover to get a bit of purchase on the nut.

Am I missing something?

Bend the spanner.
I knew why I had that bent spanner in my tool box. I just forgot why.

I've got a few modded tools in the odds and sodds box, some bent, some slightly filed, some with welded extentions. Sometimes you need to get the job done,

Yep, know where you are coming from. This is my fourth landrover product so from past experience, unless I can get hold of special service tool xxcdg6668ffd then I suppose will have to dismantle rest of vehicle to rebuild carbies.

You only need to take the wheels off to rebuild the carbies. ;) :p :D :D :D
