Ok, I've read in the manual that there is a procedure for re-priming everything.

My question is, has anyone actually run one out of fuel? Did you manage to get it re-started ok?

I have run out twice. First time about 18mths ago, no worries, procedure as per handbook. My fault.:o

Last time not long ago. Mate 'drove it dry', then cranked the battery dead. Result - one shagged fuel pump  $1000 bill, Not happy Jan.

Yep - ran out 2 or 3 times. It takes 2 or 3 minutes of Ignition on, wait, ignition off, ignition on, wait, etc for the fuel pump to cycle through and purge all the air. Then with a bit of cranking she starts up again. Lots of black smoke for a few seconds and then good as gold.

Hope I haven't damaged the fuel pump 'cause that's an expensive one to replace.

Yes, I have, and the procedure in the manual worked perfectly.130man.

Hmm, well, yes, mate:mad:

Mate has many meanings and uses in Australia

i.e. F**k off MATE!
Oi! mate - don't do that or I'll smash ya
etc,etc....

He is a decent bloke and has done a fair bit for us, so I wasn't too hard....I know he will come through with some $ too
Or I'll cut his jacobs off:twisted: :D
