Has anybody else received a copy of Land Rover’s Onelife magazine.
This has got to be one the biggest wastes of paper I have come across.
If it’s meant as a form of advertising, the problem is, what are they trying to advertise. It’s certainly not Land Rovers.
In the entire magazine there is just one interesting picture and even that is so small it was a waste of time printing it, that’s the picture of the semi trailer that fell through the ice and is frozen in place.
I mean, what’s a pack of whollies hanging from the roof on what looks like seat belts, got to do with 4x4s, any make of 4x4s.
Land Rover has never really been in the real world when it comes to advertising their products but this time, I think they have completely lost the plot.
Cheers and just my 2 cents worth.

Havent received the latest one, but previous ones have me thinking the same, its more like a fashion art deco magazine, than a magazine about 4WD's, Im yet to get excited by one of them yet..........also my 3 cents worth :D

I've never seen the magazine, but if it's anything like a couple of the other european brands I get sent, it is all about lifestyle. The car is almost irrelevant. They are selling the BRAND.
So when you think of Land Rover, you'll associate it with opera or ocean racing or visiting a winery or whatever else they run articles on in the magazine.

Land Rovers advertising campaign running in "The Good Weekend" (Sydney Morning Herald Saturdays) would turn me away from buying the D3 they're trying to get readers to buy.
The three double page ads (I've seen thus far) also look fake, a bit too much photoshopping, and very twee in approach.
The ads say to me, drive a D3 and you're a complete tosser.
Sad, such a good Landy, but relegated by advertising to that of a Tarago...
However I hope they heaps of D3s to the market targetted, there'll be a lot of lightly used D3s on the market in a few years, no doubt for 'the right price', judging by how well Landys depreciate...

Yep, first one came through the door this morning. Just as crap as the UK equivalent, I'm afraid. Need to find out how to opt out and save a few trees....

Hi folks, just got back online. Optus’s ADSL has been down most of the day.
Thanks Josh for the DVD.
I’m yet to see it as the daughter grabbed it and loves it.
I get two copies of that ( as posted above ) tosser mag so I’ll bring one along for you.
Trust me, it won’t give you any decent ideas for your mag.
Cheers

Just got mine and I agree 100% cr*p
I've just bought my latest Land Rover (3 months ago) and this is the first I've heard from them.
Would have thought some sort of satisfaction survey or the like would have been more useful.

Hey and what do you all think of the comic strip in the middle of the mag.
I don’t have a clue who is responsible for the waste of space, but as a landy owner, I am totally offended by this childish crap.
Why on earth has Land Rover spent up big on this rag, which has been put together by a pack of self indulgent, incompetent childish ******* and worst still, Land Rover actually thinks this garbage production is going to do there image some good.
HELLO, this mag has absolutely nothing to do with the image of Land Rovers and certainly will not win over any new customers, so can anybody shed some light on why they would put out such of a rag?

wow i guess you dont like it then,
i'm a bit scared to say it but i like the mag, yes i know its all about life style and thats what land rover wants to sell, fine as long as the product is still the best off roader around, the articles are fine but i do admit you have to try not to look to close at some of the horse sh*t they write but some articles are part of the dream of owning a land rover and seeing remote parts of the world, pity it the famous rich folks who get chosen by land rover to do the drive.
