Hello all,
I'm very new to the Land Rover scene but just recently purchased a Series III LWB. I'm just curious how often those with older Series model Land Rovers actually get out and drive them. My Series III was a daily driver for the previous owner and did close to 60k a day.

Mine varies a little - I have 3 cars in the fleet and 2 drivers. The Series III is supposed to be the "play" machine, but driving to work doesn't HAVE to be a chore, does it? It ends up being the daily driver about 1/2 the time.

Every day for me. Not too many ragtop owners drive theirs every day ;)

I drive my 1970 2a almost daily. Great for getting around our small country town. Our dogs love it too. :)

Use my SIIa as my every day driver ( SWMBO uses the "good" car...:censored:..) Son loves it, daughter sides with her mother...:wallbash:....always fun to pick them up from school, he hurtles into the back and she tries to hide in the front footwell...:Rolling:.... teenagers

I voted every day, but in fact I miss the occasional day, for example when I go to town in the County, or when I don't drive anywhere, or when I am away from home.
It is my primary farm vehicle, and perhaps one of the few actually registered commercially.

G'day Folks :)
I drive my 2a as often as I can, at least 3 times a week, feel safer in it than the Crummydore ;) "The Management" enjoys it too
And it will be at the "All British Day" on Sunday:D in Brisbane.
cheers

Yes Ho I intend to go to the day, but I won't be displaying the Game, at the moment I can't fit the whole family in it. I am currently fitting back seats in it so that issue should be resolved soon. I will keep a look out for you and Inc. though.
Cheers, Mick.

Isn't it great to see that over 40% of respondents so far use their series vehicles daily. What fantastic vehicles they must be. I wonder what percentage of 25+ year old cruisers would be driven daily?
Cheers, Mick.

Mine's also on club plates, so only on club trips or the odd local maintenance run. That equals once or twice every couple of months.:(

25? The youngest Series sold in Australia is 23 years old. Mine is 37 years old, and is about the middle of the range - 23-59. I wonder what the actual average age of Series Landrovers is?
