Saw a thread some time ago about reducing the turning circle significantly on TD5 by purchasing new stoppers.

I'm about to purchase these parts and install but want some more feedback if anyone else has done this. I have 16" rims on my 00 disco.

thanks

Call me tight - but I just cut mine down, took less than 10 min to remove, cut, finish, refit and paint.

Technical Bulletin 0026 CDS …. ref L8867bu …. & the 23mm lock stops. (manovering in tight spaces)

Just a note to tell you all that ten minutes work can change the poor turning circle on the 2003 model to the same as a tdi. This is a service bulletin from Land rover to all Dealers stating that the 29mm streering lock stops can be changed for 23mm stops, thus improving the turning circle 9 inches for every mm taken off the stops.

Cheers Aston

Anyone know if this mod can be fitted to a fender? my old girl could do with all the help she can get in the steering department.

So I'm guessing looping 6 mm off would do it.:o

worked for me, i just cut off about 5 mm with a hacksaw and smoothed the edges round and put em back on and now have a better turning circle :)
