Hi everyone,

here's the photos I promised of Bluey.

I have got the engine running properly - I hadn't tightened up the tank to lift pump fuel line at the pump end so it was obviously sucking air. I've also replaced the viscous coupling so the fan should be sorted.

I'm currently rebuilding the seat box with new sides, genuine tool box and a replacement battery box with a flat floor so fitting twin batteries should not be a problem. I thought it would be a quick job but seven hours later and its still not finished!

Anyway heres the photos.

G'day All,

Hi there,

the mystery object behind the transfer case is a disc hand brake in place of the drum. Its sold by X-Eng and is a quality bit of kit and was very easy to fit. With Bluey spending most of the rest of his life heavily laden I wanted a decent handbrake. The caliper is normally used on heavy plant machinery so Bluey shouldn't present much of a problem for it.

The timetable for our departure for Oz is pretty much dictated by our 3 month old daughter Abby. We have to wait until she's old enough to travel ie she's had all of her immunisation shots. We are hoping that it will be in about 18 months time.

It's looking good Andy. Seems like you'll be doing a fair bit of socialising with AULRO members when you finally get here.
