Try this one,

I was working a booze bus one night about 8 years ago (yep, I'm a copper, don't hold it against me). It was about 2 am and we were packing up to go home and I walked around to the back of the booze bus and found a vehicle with a fella sitting in it, engine running, staring straight ahead, vehicle stopped (unknown how long he had been there). I yelled out to the other coppers if they knew why he was there, everyone just scratched their heads and said 'no idea'.

I had a quick chat to him and quickly realised he was as full as a state school. Cut a long story short, he had stopped there voluntarily, he was that ****ed he couldn't compute in his head that he could've driven around us. I can't remember what his reading was but I do recall he nearly blew the device up........

Obviously a very honest citizen...........

I've also been present when a drunk smashed into the rear of a booze bus...that's another story..

refuse to comment for fear of self incrimination..........lol i have been cought once though and its more the cost of getting your licence back than the inconveinance of losing it that keeps me from doing it again!!! (that and im a bit wiser now)

I got pulled over once in my street. I'd just pulled out of the driveway and was also still in first gear. They breath tested me and gave the car a general look over.

The Police car had 5 coppers in it so I'd say they were doing training.

How about one of the new pommy recruits "feeling" the sides of the Disco for rust....

Or better still some years ago in the NT Astonisher there was an RBT set up at the top of the hill by the sailing club. Same guy took his cadillac through the RBT 3 times before asking the now very red face police officer if he would like to try testing the driver this time!

Was just about to pull out of driveway when got nabbed by passing cop as I held my mobile phone to my ear..... phone suddenly fell to ground, (but wasn't quick enough). I was also pulling on my seat belt which wasn't completely in its slot.... PO told me to reverse back and he took all my details, gave me a lecture but let me off because it was Christmas eve.

Started filling my undies as soon as i blew into the bag with the look on the cops face .The cop looked at me and back at the breath tester and says " How are ya steve .... better get home mate your just over " . I wasted no time in getting out of there and laughed all the way home thinking who the hell is steve . Needless to say i have never drank that much before driving again . never lost my license and don't plan on it either .:D

I'm into second by 30m from the driveway. Like to change up early & keep the revs down.

Glad no one supports drink driving.

The RBT are thick these days. Strange thing is by luck did a 5000km trip to QLD, Morton Island, down north coast of NSW and then back to Central NSW and did not get an eye of law:confused: Like original thread, move here and.... HAVE YOU HAD A DRINK SIR. The population is only 900:confused: There is not even a dog tied under a tree;)

I was followed for about 20 minutes one night when I was designated driver on my p's then was pulled over in a very quiet back street for a "random" breath test.

Another night when I was delivering pizza's for a while I got pulled into the booze bus line every trip out which totalled about 25 trips. And got the same copper each time.

A few of years ago, I was driving to Adelaide, and spent the night in Broken Hill with a friend. I left early, and about 0730 arrived at Cockburn (population about twenty?) on the border, and there was a policeman waving me over for a breath test. I stopped and talked to him for about half an hour, during which time no other vehicles were seen. He told me that there had been a B&S in the Hill the previous night, and he was waiting for the early starters.

A few years back i was RBT'd (well, stopped, not tested) on the centennary motorway in brisbane AT 4 AM. They had the 3 lane rd reduced to 1 with cones etc. After pulling up, i was quickly told to **** of, after a brief chat, apparently there was an Ambulance call on the radio and they were using it as an excuse to wave people through....

Interesting, I have a mate who ran into a Booze bus :coplight:, it was down your way too. He never stopped until he nearly killed himself (despite all of his freinds telling him he was a bl**dy idiot), 6 months in hospital:wheelchair: Lost his licence for 3 years, he stopped drinking altogether:D
