Gday all....as i mentioned in a previous post iam looking at a 130 300Tdi....when i took it for a drive i noticed the clutch pedal was very hard to push in.....i was always told that the 300Tdi pedal was lighter to push in than the Td5 clutch..just wondering what could cause this one to be stiff ??
Thanks Adrian

stiffening of the spring, fouling of the MC/slave clyinder, colapsing of the flex hose so that it starts to act like a one way valve siezing of the pedal pivot.

and add a broken pedal assist spring to Dave's list

Or just a worn out clutch! Most clutches I have replaced are a hell of a lot lighter to use after replacement. Also I think a 130 has a heavy duty clutch fitted from new.

The only difference between a 110 and a 130 Valeo clutch is the number of springs in the driven plate. The pressure plates are identical AFAIK.
AP only makes one version for the Tdi.
