I have a 75 Series III 2 door enclosed back LWB LR, I am looking for windows that will replace the non-opening windows on the side of the rear canopy. Is there a LR opening window (sliding) available or is there a caravan style opening window that will fit, any info will be appreciated, Regards Frank.

The answer to both questions is yes. Station wagons had sliding windows. Caravan type opening windows were readily available.

I was just recently wondering the same thing!

Are the swb ones the same size as the lwb ones? I have seen a few sliding windows in the 88's. I want a pair too for my 109 Hardtop.

Hate sleeping with no air!

Cheers for the info :BigThumb:

Yes, I have them on my series 3, I need to replace one, so I am also looking for a place to get them from.

88" 2-3 rear window panels fit 109" station wagons, and vice-versa. I've also discovered that 95 110" station wagon panels fit. I don't think Defender 90 panels will, though.

No - basic dimensions for lwb are unchanged 1958 to present, and 88 rear side panels are the same size as 109/110 station wagon ones. But the 90 has a four inch longer wheelbase than the 88, and correspondingly longer body, so the side panels and hence windows are different.

Look for somebody converting a bus to a camper. They normally remove many of the windows during the fit out.Problem may be that they are too tall.

I have seen defender ones fitted, but it must need some cutting as they are larger.

I measured the rear window panels on a defender 110 and they match the SWB 88 in all ways, best bit is the windows are sliding and larger so iam keeping my eyes open for a set of 110 panels to put on my SWB
