Hi everyone. I was hoping someone might be able to tell how much it would be to get the rear quarter panels cut so my tyres dont rub. I have a 2" suspension lift and running 31" Mud tyres and I'm in Brisbane. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is no need to pay someone for that. Takes about 2 mins to either bend it or cut the offending material out. It is not something you can see from standing beside the vehicle. It is underneath.
I bent mine to begin with but they still scrubbed so I attacked it with some cutters when at the Springs 4wd Park.

I'm about to do this to!
Just looking at it all it would take is a cut with the angle grinder and make shore you tape up around where your cutting so the paint doesn't blister.
CHEERS TIM.

Hi Jodie , If you are unsure about cutting the guards yourself maybe a member up that way could do it for you . pretty simple task if you can use a grinder ;).

She doesn't need to do the full cut. She is only going to fit 31s. She only needs to bend/trim the folded under bit.

the doors or camal cut as it is called are best left to professionals to do and is not cheap, getting mine done soon and flares added but there is another thread in discovery called show me your camal cut
cheers mick

The camel cut is only the rearmost section of the rear wheel arch

Yep and where Mick cut his is unnecessary unless you plan on fitting a tube rear bar or you have already trashed the rear 1/4's. Thin cutting disc on an angle grinder is the best way and takes all of 2mins each side, just measure 2" back from bottom rear of guard and run a line of masking tape up till it meets where the rubber strip meets the arch and cut.

Thank for all the reply's guys!! Hubby was saying he wants me to get a rear bar made up so I dont wreck the original one and to hide the cut. I will have to work a bit more to pay for more stuff for my car. Not that I mind cause I want to take it to Levuka soon to see how I go. Thanks again everyone!:D
