Hi All, I have just purchased a defender 130 td5. Looked at tdIs and thought about the 4db1t option but his was a bargain so could not go past it. But i have some questions.......
#1 It has oil around the turbo outlet that goes to the intercooler. The oil is sitting on the hose only, around the turbo out let.
#2 The coolant resivoir is a brown color and i cant see throught it to check the level. What color are they originally?
#3 It has had a tacho fitted and seems to rev very hard @110 over 3000rpm is this where they usually sit? And if so, it has heaps of power further down it the rev range so would it be better to lower the rpm @ 110?
#4 The turbo whistles very loudly when it is working is this normal?? It has 3 inch exhaust and has been chipped. Sounds like a truck i love it!!!:D

PS I drove the vehicle from melb to Mildura yesterday and it was the most enjoyable trips i have ever had!!
