I'm with Dave. Ours was identical to that. With a full tank it might be a touch under that. :o
When we bought ours it had to have 3/4 tank or more to fit in!

Compared to the other heights that sounds like either a pretty big lift or a mismeasurement.

agreed, it does sound high. 2.250m high would be approx 88.58 inches/12ft4 inches. so i spose it means you got a 9 & 3/4 inch lift, man thats good height!!!!!!!!! any woman would be proud to have a hubby with that:p:BigThumb::BigThumb::BigThumb: and need a step ladder to get in.

Guess Edd gets the gold.

what the hell, you dont get to be my dive buddy.....
6ft is 1.8m near enough another foot (30cms) takes it to 2.1m add 6 inches (15cms) and I get 2.25 at lets see
6ft +1ft +6 inches =7foot 6 inches.. or thereabouts.

Is that 2.25m to the top of the cab or to the head board etc.
My measurement was 1995mm (2m) - ground to a piece of pipe I placed running widthways across the back of the cab.
An extra 25cm would have to be what 100mm of spring 50mm of body lift and then 40" swampers or something???? Unless of course TD5 130s sit 25cm higher than tdis?
My boat rack limits me to 2.25m too but the top of the cab is 2m.

Sorry that was the roof bars on the canopy but it is the height to that point. That was with the 285/75 muds and lift. They claimed it is only a 2 inch lift but who knows?
I could go and measure it now if the boys hadn't killed the tape measure and they tyres wern't flat.

If it's looking like a tight fit, also look at the entry angles, etc....
My 1996 110 is just a scrape under 2m (stock everything, but slightly smaller than spec tyres), but it's whacked a 2.1 metre clearance bar because of where it was located on a ramp... Because of the squared off back end and overhang, it can kick up on entry....
Took me a few weeks of entering the work car park with sandbags in the back until they fixed that :p

OK mine is 206cm at the moment. Putting the new tyres on this weekend so it will gain a cm or 2.

So just to clarify: the roof of a 130 dual cab on standard suspension and tyres will be just under 2.1m?

Not sure if it's a Defender or the coiler before it, or even if you can call it a 110 / 130 (or some other wheelbase?) but if I do get it it will be an interesting beast!
If I tell you any more I'll have to shoot you! ;)

Now after the hijack things over, do we have confirmation of the roof height of a standard dual cab long one?

Hi,

I measured the static unloaded height of bog standard 1995 130 dual cab at 2.15m, with a tape measure, to highest point of roofrack.

Then very carefully and studiously avoided anything less than 2.2m, and cleared swingle bars at entrance every time.

Including the several times that I have bashed the rear roofrack off, even at places marked as 2.4m! It's sometimes been on a ramp, and on one memorable occasion, a low hanging s-bend. Luckily, no sprinkler heads so far. And, usually, by the time I am about to get caught, it is way way too late to back out.

I am now wary of places marked at 2.4m or less, which is most undercover carparks where I go.

Cheers,

Andy

What is the height from the top of your roof-rack to the top of your roof?
The problem is that the car park at work restricts staff access to the 2m clearance side entries until 09:00am after which entry via the main 2.25m (public) entry is allowed.
Note the car park is listed as minimum clearance 2m but that only seems to be at the underside of the security shutters on the side entries, except for one location when a stormwater pipe crosses one corridor. Everywhere else the lowest anything gets is 2.25m, although I haven't measured the boom gates themselves. I have taken my SIII mil FFR in via the main entry without hitting anything. Think the SIII is 2.070m tall on the rear hood-bow.

Ok here goes,

After venturing out in the dark, and rain, tapemeasure in hand, torch in mouth, the definitive heights for standard 130 DC are:

Highest point, loop on rear roofrack = 2150mm,
Highest point on front roofrack = 2120, and
Highest point on roof, above rear door = 1980mm.

So, in theory, on the level, you should fit under 2m clearance.

But I also remember spending many happy hours refitting roller doors after the local Rescue Plods backed or drove their trucks into them with insufficient clearance seemingly about once a week. Maybe I'm harsh and it was only once a month.

Funny how it never damaged the trucks.

https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2013/01/1292.jpga little more hijacking. :(
In another thread there is discussion of trayback dimensions which gets a little confusing.
<snip>
Also - can't see the Dual Cab having an 8' x 5' tray! I have a single "extended" cab 130 and the tray size is 2.2m x 1.7m from memory. That's about 7' x 5'6", so it will be significantly shorter on a dual cab, although mine does not have a lot or rear overhang...
Cheers
David
<snip>some people have 2.4m trays on there 130 DC's I have a 2.2metre on mine, about a foot shorter than a standard cab chassis tray..........+ you get the rear seats.
<snip>My question: What is the standard tray on a 130 DC with minimal overhang?

I should have waited! Sorry :BigCry:
The standard 130 DC tub is 1700mm long, easy to sleep in with your feet overhanging on the tailgate. <snip>
