hi,got park assist sensors on the rear of the d2.The audible alarm is on all the time, and the light on the on/ off switch is flashing. This is only happening while in reverse.

I recon one sensor is not working, does anyone know how to tell if one is faulty?

They are factroy fitted ones, not after market.

thanks in advance

It looks like substitution is the only way :(.

From the workshop manual:
Diagnostics

The PDC ECU has no diagnostic connection to enable faults to be retrieved using TestBook/T4. An on-board diagnostic routine monitors the system and alerts the driver to a system fault by emitting a tone from the sounder.
If a PDC system fault has occurred, the sounder will emit a continuous tone for 3 seconds and the PDC switch LED will flash continuously when reverse gear is selected

Paul,

Try disabling the system bu pushing the button when in reverse and then try enabling it again.

When I had a broken sensor the alarm squealed permanently. If it is a faulty sensor and the circuit is broken, I would expect the same to happen. Best way to check is to put the vehicle in reverse and have somebosy put a hand in front of each sensor - if the alarm sounds it's working.

If not, pull each one out and check the plug connection. They are easy to remove, just push it from behind, gice it a quarter turn and pull it out (towards the front of the vehicle if that makes sense)

If all that fails, you might have to see a dealer.
