D2 factory flares on a D1?

Will it fit? I'll admit, the look I'm going for is this, Jupiter Rover's D2 from landroverforums.com:

The wheel arches are completely different, the radius wont match up (already tried) & the plastic is pretty firm & wont allow for heating up & the re-bending to fit.:(
The problem i found was the right angle peices that stick under the guard didnt match & were a pain to try & modify.
But just thought if u cut then off it may sit where u want. Just an idea though.;)

D1 wheel arches are smaller and different shape so you would be better off finding some d1 rubber flares, we have some (not for sale)

The fronts can be made to fit with a bit of careful cutting, but the rears will require a lot more work. I have a set that Scouse donated to do exactly what you are suggesting with my D1. I haven't got to the point of trying to fit them yet.

The biggest problem is the profile of the D1 is different to the D2 and while they look similar, there is quite a bit of difference.

Well there you go...I didn't know D1 flares existed. I do like the bigger, fatter D2 flares, but if the radius is different then I already know that's going to be too much work modifying it for myself.

Is there anything aftermarket that look similar without the big bolts running all along them?

Here's our rubber ones on the d1 running 31/10.5/15 with 2" lift in the rear (still miner rubbing a slight guard trim would fix this;))

They look pretty similar to my std d1 flares. Mine appear to fibrglass.

D1s have rubber or plastic standard flares - both have cutouts for the rubber anti-bump strips along the sides - the earlier D1s have wide antibump strips and the updates gave narrower strips - so if you get D1 flares you need to know whether to get plastic or rubber and work out whether you have narrow or wide bump strips.

Mine look the same as your Garry, plastic hey. I thought they were fibreglass.

They are plastic so that when you bang them hard they do not break or shatter like fibreglass.
