I would be removing the belt and checking the pump's bearings quick smart, although it could be loose mountings.

What specifically makes it thump or does it thump all of the time?
ie turning left to right and/or right to left? driving over little bumps, driving over big bumps etc?
If its like a rattle, the rose joints you have can do this as they develop slop.

Starting to sound like a problem with the pressure limiting valve or a blocked filter in the valve block beneath the driver's floor. Maybe its simple like a bad electrical connection but a hookup to an appropriate diagnostic device is probably needed for more info.
Edit: Worth checking the electrical connections on that valve block.
