Hi All,
Ive done the searches re Tough Dog RTC dampeners and seems to be a mixed response. I dont mind experimenting a bit BUT are they easy enough to put on? a D2a, never put a steering dampener on before. It seems they need some adjustment following fitting? Thanks.

2 bolts, one at each end, 15 minute job if you take your time. What can make it difficult is when you take off a very overdue for replacement unit that has elongated the mounting holes.

Personally I wouldn't use an RTC damper. Don't know what TD dampers are like, wouldn't touch their shocks as I've seen too many fail. Admittedly they are good on warranty replacement, but its a bit of an inconvenience for the owner. I prefer the Bilstien dampers, others will say different. Its an individual thing.

Hi,
I have been running a Top Dog RTC damper for 3 years now. I found that when towing my 2,500 kg van that it took the shimmy out of the front end.

You just need to tweak them to sit at centre. A few drives around the block works it out.

I have a RTC TDog on my Zook, and I must say it made little differance. But it does look very "Bling".
