Well, you don't drive it from the passenger's side, do you? :D Many Defenders have this "issue" - and it is caused by spring sag as Pete said.
The front springs are, I believe, variably sprung from Left to right side, the driver's side being stiffer.
I'd say your spring has just reached a point where you might want to replace it or both with new HD ones.

Get ya fat bum outof the car and she won;t lean any more !

(Sorry couldn't resist!).

Juddy I have a pair of Front King Springs, if you feel like making me an offer. They are quite (read very stiff) and would suit if you have a lot fo weight up front - winches etc etc.

The rear twin coil (one inside the other) set up on 130's is actually very good - I wouldn't bother changing it unless you end up having to. Try it for a while and see.

maybe play on the front as the tank appears to be going under the drivers side ....on which all the sound deadening stuff under the seat boxes (chassis side) has nearly all come off should i try and get the rest off and replace it with new stuff or leave it ...all these things just pop in your head as you right it is an obsession now ...the mrs knows lol

Ring a dealer, you'll be surprised at the cost as the genuine springs are about the cheapest around. The front HD springs are: NRC9448 (driver's side) and NRC9449 (passenger's side).
