I got a good deal on an Exide 31-950 Calcium/Lead Calcium battery from Exide in Padstow, $155 pick up, has anyone had any experience with this battery, considering the equivalent Century 86ZMF is $278.

These are the closest spec to the OEM Delphi Freedom that comes in the TD5.

Good work Baz.

Can you do a follow up on your voltages to see if it makes any difference?

I also tried to find the specifications of the battery to see if there is a sight glass which shows the charge state. If there is can you keep a lookout for any changes.

Cheers.

if its calcium/lead calcium it will probably sealed and wont be a true wet battery, so the sight glass wont exist:(

No sight glass, the battery I'm replacing has one, (Century 86ZMF) It's called Magic eye, buggered if I could tell the charge level by it:eek:
