Folks,
does anybody know if the Bluetooth integration can be retrofitted by a dealer or can it only be done during the factory build?

cheers
Peter

Sorry - I dont know the answer to your question. But I assume it would mean the replacement of the head unit with one with bluetooth capability.
Can I ask why you are after bluetooth functionality (phone, mp3 etc)?

there is a LR option on the D3 for blue tooth integration through the HiICE sound system and nav display.

It is for mobile phone use.

Do you have the base stereo or premium?

I think the bluetooth ability is limited then. But some have done some amazing hacks.
Check on dico3.co.uk in the 'in car electronics' section:

The dealer fit bluetooth function can be fitted to all D3's/Spt's regardless of head unit.
You do NOT get full function of the system.
You cant dial from the head unit if u had a 9 button stereo.

But u can (up to 08my) store numbers into the system via your voice.
This system will keep voice numbers (up to 12) in the voice ECU, u can then ask system to "Dial Mum" & it will dial. Then when finished "End call"

The system is intergrated into your stereo, so the sound comes via speakers, it obviously mutes when you are receiving a call.

Good system, but expensive.

Cheers
