EAS Piping

Hi Guys

Tonight my 2001 P38A developed a slow leak in the R/H/F EAS plastic/nylon Pipe just under the battery box,
can anybody advise where to obtain an aftermarket replacement unit ie "Purple Pig" etc or what specs the hose should be, it looks about 6mm thick wall section to be rated at 150+ PSI ?? is this correct...

or is it better to just get original parts ?????

Theyre just 6mm nylon airhose, it only costs a few dollars per metre, sometimes cheaper. It is all rated to above 150psi. Just cable tie it where it wont rub on anything (hot or cold). If you want a genuine one though, pm me your address and i will send you one down next week.

Go to your local landy shop and buy a hose to hose joiner. I dont know the official name for it. They are used to join the hose if you get a leak. Simply cut the hose removing the bit with the leak in it, and plug the hose ends into the joiner. Quick and simple. Lasts ages, hasnt failed me yet (4 years).

Buy 2 just in case and keep spare in glove box.

As it turns out the car was in at "Ritters" yesterday for some repair work and they fixed the leak (fitted a new inline joiner) free of charge, the guys at "Ritters" are a great bunch of blokes and go out of their way to help you. :)
