I have not thought about it, but it should possibly be easier than a car (and certainly cheaper!) because the required range is a lot shorter, and the required speed and performance are not as high.

so i now have a short list on what i want to do
use a dc motor for simplicity and cheaper controlers
batterys (still undesided)
so im looking for a range of around 40km at speeds of around20/30kmh
so im still resurching and all help would be apreciated
also on the controler side is where im geting stuck i know a little about hobbpy car stuff but thats where it ends

I dont know but would looking for a multi direction motor(simular to winch) combined with a variable foward /reverse controller be a good starting point
cheers

Try a bike wrecker who has wrecked an electric bike or scooter.
