Well im geting more and more worried about my new defender, it doesnt seem to leak anything... and while checking the harness for oil discovered that it wasnt leaking either... bah call it a landrover!

anyways... while looking i noticed there was a spare blue connector in there.. a multiway with some fairly hefty looking wires in it... but just floating around...

any idea what its for? im just being nosey thats all!

Thanks

Steve

i guess your avatar picture is right... hehe... sorry about that...

i did mention that i was looking at the injector harness... just didnt mention which end! duh...

im talking the ECU harness under the drivers seat at the ecu end. The harness has a spare blue connector next to the main ecu plugs....

make more sense? :D

Thanks

Steve

Oh no! You've got the dreaded plug leak common to the new LR. :o

The other end has fallen out somewhere whilst you've been driving.

Scouse tells me it a very expensive repair.

i'll take your word for it... :D

i think its part of the ecu loom tho not the second loom that goes to the abs computer? it also has some very hefty wire as i said.. reminded me of the old headlight wires in the mini!

thanks

i'll look on rave later... been looking at microcat but can see anything on there... will let you know

the plug is blue tho.. and the thick wires i think are brown and brown with white stripe...

just thought someone might just say... oh yeah its this...

Im sure Tombie is right... he usually is :)

Ron

Is it really that bad? :p do you think its terminal? :p to be honest im more worried that i'll have to rust proof the underside if it carries on this way... after the disco had its fuel pressure reg sorted that doesnt leak either now... :D

at my house the reputation of landrover is on the line!

Mine has this plug too, it's wrapped in a bit of stick on foam to stop it rattling, I always assumed it was ABS/Traction control wiring, as mine doesn't have it.
It does look iike it's meant to plug into a ECU of some description.
