Long story short, I went to take a wheel of the Disco this atfernoon, and found that some other kind person has been there before me and chewed the locking nut...
So the big question is... what is the best wat to remove the nut now?\
Any advice gladly accepted!

You should be able to undo it with a hammer and punch, once its loose should be easy.
Try member "Bundalene" (Erich) for a replacement, you will need the code letter.Erich wrecks D2s and is quite a helpfull chap.

get a bi hex socket that only just doesnt fit on. Hammer it home and undo.
Failing that die grind the nut off and then replace it. IF you nick the stud you have to replace the stud as well.

X2
Get 4 new standard nuts from the wreckers for the road wheels & leave one locknut on the spare.

Yes.
However I have not seen too many Commodores driving around on stolen Land Rover alloys fitted with muddies.

A few people had the wheel nuts stolen but not many that I know of have had the wheels taken. A bit different if it was a rice burner go fast car.

Never heard of the road wheels being stolen.I would rather risk that happening than being stuck out in the bush somewhere & not being able to change a wheel.
The security sockets have a habit of cracking which is a real PITA:mad:

I did exactly what scarry did. My locknut bolt was cracked so i replaced them before I had to do it in the bush!!!

My mate Howie owns a wrecking yard in a Brisbane suburb, 5 acres. He has it listed for sale. Will be town houses, villas, units, whatever. 55 years a wrecking yard. His tenant has seen the writing on the wall and given notice and is cleaning up to give possession as required. I found a set of 7" x 15" mags to suit my Falcon ute which has 6" x 14. NO NUTS!! Asked about the nuts and why they didn't duct tape the nuts to the wheels. Answer- We sell nuts but nobody wants to pay a fair price for mags. Most go in the scrap bin eventually. The few that sell are mostly to replace damaged ones and normally sell singly.
If you or someone you know would like to rent a wrecking yard PM me and I will pass on contact details. Howie is prepared to rent again to a tenant whose bona fides can be verified or to sell to the first person who has the right amount of money.
This business was turning over a staggering sum when in full flow. It needs to as the land is worth near $8,000,000.
