Hi Guys.
I'm trying to replace some bulbs in the air control module, I found this most useful post:-

However I can get the radio out, but not the cage, to access the clips for this unit.
Anyone?

Remove the ash trays and you will find 4(may be 3) screws behind each, remove these screws and then pull the cup holder mechanism out.
Now you can access the clips on the side of the climate control ecu. Push the clips in on each side while pulling the ecu and it pops out.
Take the opportunity to clean the ash tray and cup holder mechanisms and they will work with a much smoother action.

If you use 2 credit type cards and remove the Clock and Hazzard modules you will see a clip on either side of the AC module through the holes, its either pull or push both of them and the AC module will come out, undo the screws on the back to access the bulbs.
You can put the clock and hazzard modules back in then as the AC part can go in afterward.

Thanks, but where exactly and how many clips on the clock and the hazzards? Top or/and bottom, sides? There's not much of a gap for a credit card

Thanks, on my 2003 D2, the trays and the cup-holder appear to be one unit.
Each tray has 3 screws easily removed, but something else seems to be holding the combination unit in, I can't pull it straight out , any hints please.

There are two tiny little parts that the credit cards need to push down on top and bottom of the clock/hazzards, yes its very tight squeeze especially if they have never been out before as there is a type of double sided tape you need to break top and botton,
(dont use current credit cards, as you will break them, I used a old fuel card and a old license).
Once you have both parts out you will see a silver clip on each side of the AC module thru the holes just push these in (form memory) and the AC unit will come out.
