After much debating just tried to download the 2.05 up grade. Tried 5 times and it doesn't want to know me.
Gave up and put the Nanocom back in the vehicle. Turned the key on, then the Nanocom to check that everything was ok only to find that the comment "function locked please insert relative unlock code". :angrylock:
I found that the I.D. code has dissapeared together with Nos 1 and 2 set up codes.
I have reprogramed the 1 and 2 setup codes but, how in the heck do you re-enter the I.D. code???:confused::confused:
Can someone help Please, even pretty please.

The Nanocom ID is unique to the unit and AFAIK you cant enter or amend it . It would have been provided with the unit and its the one you used to register the device to get the unlock codes. You should be able however to view it . from the SETUP options if you can get there .. to see if its the same as the one you think it is from your registration. I would be inclined to suspect your firmware update probably needs to complete as its in an unstable state , or else and as you are having trouble with the update possible easier , you need to re-apply the firmware that you previously had and was known to work to return it to a working state.

Thanks for that, unfortunately it still doesnt let me in. Must be something to do with the ID code. Looks like I will be contacting Italy.
Thanks anyway.

Hi Grumpy
The 3 Ive fixed were all boot failures.
Ive got Mattias programmer.
Contact Mattia first and see if re-programing the boot sector is the issue. If so MORE than happy to do it for you free of charge. You can either post it or come down for a drive(1 1/4hrs from Armadale)

Thanks Andrew,
Sorry for the delay in replying, have been down at Mandurah with 4 grandkids and only got back today.
Williams is just down the road!!
Before I went, I contacted Mattia and have just opened his reply this afternoon. Have now reset every thing including the nanocom's I.D. Could not do this on an external power supply, only through the OBD cable in the vehicle and my wireless laptop??? My problem now is that the Nanocom will not converse with the ECU. Have checked everything out and I am buggered if I can work out why. Might have to pay you a visit and see if you can sort this thing out. Will PM you for details if I need your assistance.
Thanks

Guys
Mine does that from time to time.
If its the same problem as mine disconnect the yellow obd cable at the Nannocom end and re-fit whilst nanocom is running.Seems to work for me.

Thanks Andrew will try tomorrow.
Have been in touch with Mattie and his comment was that there could have been a glitch in down loading and to try down loading again. If your suggestion doesn't work will retry downloading the upgrade again. If that doesn't work buggered if I know. May be try and download the original program. Had no problems with that.

Sorry Andrew, your idea didn't work. After downloading the update a couple of times I have now got the laptop talking to the Nanocom. Still will not comunicate with the ECU. Went and saw my service bloke, he checked with his test book and there is nothing wrong with the wireing or ECU. Now wondering about my yellow cord thingy. Haven't heard from Mattie as yet.

Yes, tried them both several times Andrew. One more thing to try and that is another cable. If I can find or borrow one.

Just about ready to bin it..

Pack it up and send it to Mattia...

I've had to do the same.
