D4 Caravan and Rear Mounted Battery Kit is now available.
The kit $360 including Express post Australia wide and this kit will also fit a D3.
The kit comes with everything required to install a dual battery system except the battery and battery box ( see below ).
The installation also includes a rear mounted Anderson plug for charging house batteries, when towing a camper trailer or caravan.
The installation takes about 3 hours and there are no holes to drill, no cables to cut and more importantly, no terminals to crimp.
All the cabling comes cut to the correct lengths and all the heavy duty battery cable size terminal have been crimped in place.
There is comprehensive installation instructions, including loads of pictures, are provided on a CD.
The instructions show where to run the cable, which panels need to be removed and how to remove and reinstall each panel.
The finished installation has everything out of the way and out of site, particularly in the rear when the battery box is not being carried.
At this point I’m working on a battery box with a number of features and different types of plugs and connections and this should be available soon.
I’ve not put the full details up on my web site yet and there are a number of other kits to be available in the next week or two.
For more info you can phone me on 07 5569 2557.
