In an NZ comedy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, a Series 1 appears early in the film.
I watched the movie this morning. I quite liked it. Hunt for the Wilderpeople - Wikipedia.

In the movie filmed in Aus "Anyone But You" a Landy makes an appearance, not sure for how long or if any others as it only comes out in theatres on Boxing Day.

The wife has been watching "The Crown",i think it is.Or it could be 'Crown"
In between falling asleep,i have seen lots of Series Landys, but it seems odd there are Series 2 vehicles in the early 50's.
One episode, the Queen gets into her favourite early S1,and says something like,"i hope it goes,we have been having trouble with the fuel pump"
Anyone who has had them would know all about those fuel pumps![]()
Searched 25 pages before I gave up so apologies if this one has been mentioned.
The film 'Buster' starring Phil Collins was set in 1963 and they used series three landies
Set in 1963,they should be Series 2 LRs,or earlier Series 1 models.
Not a movie and probably not seen anywhere else but Brisbane, but the Springfield Lakes Towing ad on TV features a white D1, fortunately some wag hasn't put it on the back of a tow truck, but rather it is towing a yacht.

Yesterday I spent the best part of an hour in a dentist's chair, looking up at the ceiling. As is often the case these days, instead of the traditional opportunity of studying the way the paint was flaking off the ceiling, I was looking at a large TV screen, which was showing some sort of nature documentary. This had mainly a lot of walruses and plenty of icebergs and open ocean, but also included some wider scene photography, taken from land. One scene had, in part of the picture, what was the inside of the upper half of the right hand rear door and a small bit of the roof, of what could only be a Defender or a 110.
I saw no title or identification, but I wonder where it could have been filmed? The only place that seems likely to have had walruses, icebergs, and Landrovers that I can think of, would be Iceland. Any other suggestions?
