    Movie...Just watch a well worn one.. 1959

The Dam Busters...What a terrific movie

Love it every time it is on

Makes you think about all the people who lived through WWII

    Great movie

But Did you see the S1 long wheel base in the opening scene.

One of the great film mistakes.

My fondest memory of my grandmother was watching a 50year fly past of the Lancaster bomber on the TV in the uk.

And as a bit of background my grandma used to fly the Lancaster and spitfire from the factories to the airfields during the war.

While watching this tv show. She then said to me and my brother , " I used to fly those brand new from the factories and let me tell you they peaces of crap then , you would be buggered if you get me in a 50 year old one "

    Never forgot that.

You are in luck Ausfree....well sort of anyway. Director Peter Jackson, from Lord of the Rings fame owns the film rights and was hoping to start on the remake a couple of years ago. Unfortunately he has had to shelve it to finish off the Hobbit trilogy. At least it is in the pipework!
