Without emoticons it's hard to see if you're serious ??

Gawd, I hope not.
Aahh...................... the impetuosity of youth, not to mention not really old enough to comment on
'Best movies ever'.
When you're an old fart it's a lot easier,
Shane comes to mind as an exceptional movie of its time, so does
A Clockwork Orange for it's breaking of the mould , as does
The Last Tango in Paris for the same reason.
Sound of Music, already mentioned and also a classic.
Star Wars was brilliant started a whole new genre of movie. There's a Kiwi movie (can't remember its name) about mutant sheep 'taking over' which is an absolute classic and who can forget
The Blues Brothers.
What's Up Tiger Lilly (Google it) was also a brilliant 'one off'.
But for me, the greatest movie of all time.
Paint Your Wagon, the last of the wide screen musical epics complete with an intermission, an all star cast and a good story line.
