who remembers the tv series, bush mechanics?

I used to enjoy this show, the trick is, don't take it seriously, it's a bit of fun Bob [ like the coach's instructions to the team]

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

There's a good dose of poetic license there Bob.

correct, it's easier to abandon a car than go to all that effort

I actually met these blokes out at Yuendumu and they were funny guys. One guy (tom-tom his name was) had recently got out of jail. He came into town and discovered he liked BMWs when he took somebody else's for a test drive

While in Darwin, with the Navy, I had the opportunity to visit Yuendumu. Papunya, & Docker river. An experience. A different world. Bob

Bloody long way from Darwin in a Navy boat. Navigator training school?

And yes. an excellent series. I was living in the remote NT then. Saw many similar things for real!
